Swiss to vote on becoming first country to ban animal testing

Switzerland has one of the world's strictest regulations on animal testing.

Many are calling towards being the first country to completely ban animal testing. In spite of the strict laws, government statistics show that 550,000 animal died in laboratory tests in 2020 in Switzerland, including dogs, cats, horses, cows, mice, etc. Moreover, the ban is not expected to pass, and stricter enforcements will be revised to continue reducing animal testing.
